Multiple Payment Rails, One Integration

The expanded partnership gives UK lenders using HES LoanBox and HES CollectionAgent access to multiple payment methods through one integration, covering both payment collection and payouts.

Card processing

The card payment capability supports:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Network tokens
  • Richer issuer data

The payment infrastructure is designed to support conversion through the combination of card networks, digital wallets, network tokenisation and additional issuer information.

Direct Debit

The direct debit capability provides BACS-authorised, API-powered collection, with the infrastructure handling:

  • Mandate management
  • Automated collection cycles
  • Single-API integration

This enables direct debit collections to be incorporated into the same lending and collections workflows.

Open Banking

The expanded offering supports payments collected directly from customers’ bank accounts, with customers providing approval through their banking app.

Variable Recurring Payments

Variable Recurring Payments (VRPs) are built on open banking and support recurring collections with:

  • Variable payment amounts
  • Clear limits
  • Customer control

The capability gives lenders another payment method for recurring transactions within the broader multi-rail infrastructure.

Payouts

The payout capability enables payments to be made within seconds through:

  • Faster Payments
  • Visa Direct
  • Mastercard Send
  • Confirmation of Payee
  • Settlement accounts

These capabilities extend the integration beyond collections to include payment distribution.

HES LoanBox and HES CollectionAgent

The expanded integration is available to lenders running HES LoanBox and HES CollectionAgent in the UK.

HES FinTech stated that extending its work with Acquired enables clients to offer borrowers different payment methods within the same workflows they already use, bringing the payment infrastructure directly into existing lending and collection operations.

The partnership therefore connects the payment rails with two parts of the lending technology ecosystem: loan management through LoanBox and debt collection through CollectionAgent.

Company Commentary

Andre Kravchenko, Senior Vice President at HES FinTech, said:

“The UK is one of our core markets, and payments are critical to the success of both lending and collections,”

He added:

“Extending our work with Acquired allows our clients to offer borrowers the payment methods that suit them, within the same workflows they already use.”

AJ Davison, Head of Partnerships at Acquired, said:

“A borrower doesn’t fall into arrears because they can’t pay—mostly, it’s because the way they’d naturally pay isn’t on offer,”

Davison added:

“Building multiple payment rails into LoanBox means HES FinTech’s clients can put the right method in front of each borrower, rather than one method in front of everyone.”

Expanded Partnership for UK Lending and Collections

The companies stated that the expanded relationship is focused on giving lenders greater payment-method coverage through a unified integration.

For lenders using the HES platforms, the expanded payment stack brings together traditional card and direct debit methods, open banking-based options, recurring payment capabilities and rapid payout infrastructure.

The partnership covers the following core capabilities:

  • Card payments through Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Direct debit with BACS authorisation and automated collection cycles
  • Open banking for customer-approved bank-account payments
  • VRPs for recurring payments with variable amounts and defined limits
  • Instant payouts through Faster Payments, Visa Direct and Mastercard Send
